Everything you might want to know about heat therapy and Heatronics hCore™ devices — how heat works, when to use it, and how to choose the right one. Heatronics is a wellness and recovery brand: our warmth eases tension, soothes discomfort and supports everyday recovery.

Frequently asked questions about heat therapy & Heatronics

What is heat therapy and how does it work?

Heat therapy is controlled warmth applied to the skin and the muscle just beneath it to ease discomfort, relax tight muscles and support recovery. The warmth widens blood vessels so more oxygen and nutrients reach the area, helps crowd out discomfort signals on their way to the brain, calms the muscle’s protective guarding reflex, and makes connective tissue more pliable — so the area feels looser and moves more freely. Heatronics hCore devices deliver this warmth precisely, holding your chosen temperature with Thermapulse™.

When should I use heat, and when should I use ice?

Use heat for the slow and stiff — chronic stiffness, ongoing aches, muscle tension, stiff joints, period cramps, and warming up before activity. Use ice for the fresh and angry — a new injury that is hot, red or swollen, usually in the first 48–72 hours. A simple rule: if it’s swollen, ice it; if it’s tight, stiff or cramping, warmth helps.

Are Heatronics heating pads safe to use overnight or to fall asleep with?

Every hCore device includes Auto Shutoff, which powers down after 120 minutes, plus TwinShield™ dual fail-safe protection. For comfort and safety, use a moderate level, keep a layer of fabric between the surface and bare skin, and rely on Auto Shutoff. The hCore Bed Warmer is designed to pre-warm your bed and switch off before morning.

Will a heating pad increase my electricity bill?

No. hCore devices run on low wattage, and Thermapulse holds your set level instead of running at full power the whole time — so a typical session draws far less than a room heater or an air conditioner. Auto Shutoff ends every session after 120 minutes, so nothing is left running by accident.

Which Heatronics product is right for me?

hCore X (32 inch) — period comfort and the abdomen, plus targeted relief on the back and shoulders. hCore X (40 inch) — broader coverage for the whole back and larger muscles. hCore Knee — wrap-around warmth for knee and joint recovery. hCore Neck — neck, shoulder and upper-back release. hCore Rest — a heated backrest for your office chair. hCore Foot Warmer — cocooning warmth for cold feet, with a washable cover. hCore Bed Warmer (Solo and Dual) — pre-warms a single or double bed.

What are the HeatPath levels?

HeatPath is our 5-level warmth scale, from Level 1 (Warm, gentle) to Level 5 (Maximum, deep warmth). Start at Level 2 for daily, extended use; Level 3 is the common recovery default once you’ve settled in. Consistency beats intensity — gentle, regular warmth works better than short bursts of high heat.

How long should each session be?

For most muscle and joint recovery, 15–20 minutes is enough, repeated through the day as needed. For period comfort or ongoing stiffness, longer, lower-level warmth (up to about 2 hours) works well — and Auto Shutoff ends each session at 120 minutes.

Is it safe for daily use?

Yes — gentle, regular warmth is safe and often the most effective approach for everyday stiffness and recovery. Use a comfortable level and keep a layer of fabric between the surface and bare skin.

Is there anyone who should take extra care?

Heat suits most people, but use with care and consult a doctor first if you have reduced skin sensation (for example diabetes or neuropathy), are pregnant, have broken or irritated skin, or a fresh, swollen injury. Not for children under 3. Heatronics products support everyday comfort and recovery — they are not a treatment for medical conditions.

How do I clean my Heatronics device?

Unplug it and let it cool, then wipe the surface with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Don’t machine-wash or soak the electrical parts. The hCore Foot Warmer is the exception — it has a removable, machine-washable cloth cover.

Are Heatronics products certified and safe?

Yes. hCore devices are engineered to medical-device standards — ISO 13485 certified and CDSCO-certified (Class B) — with TwinShield dual fail-safe protection and Auto Shutoff. They’re proudly made in India and trusted by 2L+ customers.

What warranty do you offer?

Every hCore device comes with a 1-Year Doorstep Warranty across India — if something’s wrong, we arrange pickup, so you never have to ship it yourself.

How is hCore different from an ordinary heating pad?

Ordinary pads simply switch on and off around a rough temperature. hCore uses Thermapulse to read its own temperature 100 times a second and hold the level you set, a TheraFlex™ 6-layer build with DeepHeat Zone™ wiring for even warmth and no cold spots, and TwinShield dual safety — precise, consistent warmth rather than guesswork.
